Pastor Coomer was born and raised in Kentucky. He. was baptized at the age of 10 by his Pastor Rev. James Loveless. Growing up in church he obtained a love for God and felt the call of God on his life at the early age of 11. In 1999 at the age of 19 he started his ministry under the leadership of Rev. Raymond Clark pastor of Truth Tabernacle United Pentecostal Church in Campbellsville, KY serving as youth leader. In 2007 he met the love of his life Vicki Rayner of Prince Edward Island, Canada while on vacation with his family during which time he was asked to preach a youth service at her home church for the late Rev. Bobby Ikerd. Matthew and Vicki were united in marriage July 26th, 2008 and settled in Kentucky for the next 7 years. Pastor Coomer worked as a Project Manager and Salesman while attending his home church in Campbellsville, KY serving as assistant to Pastor Raymond Clark. During this time Hailey and Jacob were born into this blessed union. In 2016 Matthew and Vicki felt the call of God moving them to step out in faith. After much prayer, fasting, and direction they stepped out in faith and for the next 2 1/2 years served as assistant to the Pastor in several churches during an interim period of pastoral transitions. It was a chapter in their lives they will always remember and be grateful for. In October of 2018 they began evangelizing full time for the next 2 1/2 years travelling and preaching in over 50 different churches across the United States and Canada. In May of 2020 the Coomers were approached about taking over some Bible Studies in the city of Owensboro, KY and starting a new work for the Lord by Pastor Aaron Henson of Bethel Pentecostal church in Evansville, IN. The Coomer's have slowly transitioned into this new field of labor. God has been faithful to allow them to give several Bible Studies and start regular church services in the city of Owensboro, KY. On March 26th, 2021 Rev. Matthew Coomer and family were installed as Pastor of Apostolic Tabernacle Inc. in Owensboro, KY by Pastor Ron Tiller. They look forward to settling down and doing a work for the Lord in their field of labour reaching souls with the message of salvation.
