What we Believe:

We are a home missions church in Farmington, NM, dedicated to reaching our community with the gospel of Jesus Christ. Bro. Michael Brixner, along with his family, have a burden to reach the souls that are lost, hungry, and longing for something more.

  • We believe that the Scriptures are divinely inspired and "of no private interpretation" (2 Peter 1:20,21).
  • We do not believe in adding or taking away from the Word (Deuteronomy 4:2 and Proverbs 30:5,6).
  • Only when we look to the Word of God and follow what Jesus instructed us to do can we be absolutely certain of salvation (John 12:48).
THE GOSPELS - Covering the words and the works of Jesus Christ

The Word, which was in the beginning, and was God, became flesh.
Jesus Christ is the Living Word of God. (John 1:1-5,14)
Jesus said if we believe in Him and receive Him, Jesus gives us power to become the sons of God by a supernatural birth. (John 1:11-13)
Jesus spoke to a ruler of the Jews named Nicodemus about the absolute need to be born again of the water and the spirit. (John 3:1-8)

Jesus Said “The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel.” (‭‭Mark‬ ‭1:15‬)

Romans 6:23 Says “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”
So then the first step of being born again is repenting and believing the Gospel.

Born again of the water = Water Baptism in Jesus Name (Mark 16:16)
Born Again of the Spirit = Filled with the Holy Ghost Evidence of Speaking in Tongues ( John 3:8 and Mark 16:17)

After Jesus was crucified and rose again the third day, he showed himself to his disciples. He instructed them that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in His name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem. Jesus also told them that He is sending the promise of the Father but they must wait in Jerusalem until they be endued with power from on high. (Luke 24:45-49)

ACTS - Covering the actions and preaching of the Apostles

Acts 2:1-4

“And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting. And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.”

‭‭

Acts 2:37-39 Peter preached on the day of Pentecost.

37: Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter

and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do?

38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of

Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

39 For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as

many as the Lord our God shall call.

THE EPISTLES - The letters written by the Apostles to the churches that were started in the book of Acts.

Here at Cornerstone Apostolic Church, the truth of Gods word is taught and preached. There are so many people who are lost and dying in our community and in our world. Our desire is to reach our world and show them that He came to seek and to save that which was lost. (Luke 19:10)

Pastor Michael Brixner, Sis. Tabitha, Marissa, Logan & Emilee

Bro. Brixner was raised in Aztec/Farmington, NM, and was appointed youth pastor at 18, in his local church. Sis. Tabitha was raised in Texas, and was part of a home missions church started in 2003 by her parents in San Angelo, TX. They met in 2006 and were married in March of 2008.

They were youth pastors for a total of 8 years and served their church in any way possible.

Bro. Brixner started to feel a higher calling on his life after attending PEAK in Tulsa, OK. After much molding and shaping on The Potters wheel, he felt the call to start a home missions church in the town he grew up in.

Bro. and Sis. Brixner's favorite saying is,

"God doesn't call the qualified, he qualifies the called."

This is so true in their life. He took two people who never thought, or wanted to be in this position, and made them what He wanted them to be.

Pastor Michael Brixner, and his family, are dedicated to The Lord's work and are excited about what God is doing in the area. They are praying one day, many home missions churches will come out of Cornerstone Apostolic Church.
